Porter Robinson – Language

Porter Robinson - Language

Ah, the sound of trance. How its gentle waves of four-on-the-floor emotion hit me every time with its heavenly chord progressions and–wait, this isn’t trance? Then, is this progressive house? Well, if it isn’t either, it must be electro house, right?

Whatever genre Porter Robinson‘s latest single falls under, “Language” is an undeniable work of beauty that very well could be the best song he’s ever written. The song is a triple threat to the EDM scene with a “make the ravers cry” format. It has one of the most moving piano riffs combined with incredibly climactic drops, a combination rarely heard of out of anything electronic released within the past couple years. To top it all off, the clever bass artist attaches a human connection to his arsenal of dominance as his secret third weapon with Heather Bright‘s delicately angelic vocals. Her voice is the perfect addition to an already perfect song.

For all the reasons above and unstated, BRB certifies “Language” as a Bloc Rockin’ Beat.

Make sure to give arguably the biggest track of the year a listen if you haven’t already and purchase the track now at Beatport.
